Why Trucks Overtake at 1 km/h

Trucks on this kind of road may only do 80 km/h, but when one passes another, it can be just one kilometre an hour faster.

From the video's description

Trucks on this kind of road may only do 80 km/h, but when one passes another, it can be just one kilometre an hour faster. Why bother? Most days a truck driver may drive nine hours, and a tachograph records every minute. One km/h faster for nine hours of driving is nine extra kilometres, almost seven minutes. Annoying for you, seven minutes for the truck driver.

Sources: German StVO §18(5) (80 km/h for trucks over 3.5 t on motorways); EU Regulation 561/2006 Art. 6(1) (nine hours daily driving, extendable to ten twice a week); EU Regulation 165/2014 (tachographs). The 1 km/h difference is an illustration.
